Rio Grande do Sul is the southernmost state in Brazil. It has a rich history and beautiful landscapes. There is much German and Italian influence as generations of immigrants have called it home. The people who live here are proud of call it home.

For years the state has been a mission field even among Brazilians from other regions. With just 2% of its 11.5 million people being evangelical Christians, it is on the verge of being considered an unreached area.

For the past decade the Baptist Convention of Rio Grande do Sul has focused on church planting across the state. The Baptist Theological Seminary has been the central place of theological training for church leaders and planters.

Upon graduating and heading into ministry, many of the church planters find themselves without the needed continued support and training needed for long term sucessful church planting. In order to help with this need, NAB Brazil has partnered with Hispanics for Christ to provide necessary support and training to the church planters.
